BIAFRA : What we’ll do to Buhari in front of UN headquarters in New York

IPOB disclosed that its members would protest against Buhari’s tyrant rule and in support of the actualisation of Biafra “right in front of the UN headquarters in New York.”.

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Tuesday, disclosed that its members have “perfected arrangement” to protest against President Muhammadu Buhari during the United Nations General Assembly, UNGA.

In a statement signed by its spokesperson, Emma Powerful, the secessionist group said Buhari who was billed to address UNGA this week, has destroyed Nigeria, hence the need for the protest.
The statement reads: “IPOB family worldwide especially our great family members in the US are on ground waiting for Buhari to appear in the United Nations General Assembly this week, the General Assembly is scheduled to start deliberation from 25th of September 2019 in the city of New York.
“Our people in the US perfected every arrangement necessary to protest against the dictator Buhari and his government in Nigeria during the summit to prove our resoluteness and determination for the coming of Biafra and how tyrant Buhari has become. The world must understand why Biafrans need outright freedom from unworkable system of Nigeria without much delay.
“Buhari and his Fulani government in Nigeria have totally destroyed this country and we must let the world know what transpired between Biafra and Nigeria since 1945 till date. We are aware Buhari departed Abuja for New York with 3 governors, 7 ministers to attend the UN General Assembly.
“IPOB is going to stage a powerful and unprecedented protest against him in US for the purpose of continued and incessant killing, arrest, destruction of properties and secret abduction of Biafrans both men, women and children every day and night in Biafraland. The plans by Fulani government of Nigeria to stop IPOB from demanding their right for free state and independent nation of Biafra will not work. The whole world must see IPOB right in front of UN headquarters in New York.
“Our case is now before the various specialised UN agencies or working groups with specialty in various specific monumental human rights abuses systematically perpetrated against Biafrans and other vulnerable individuals and groups in Nigeria.
“The Camallard’s recent press release on Nigeria is one such example that shows how irredeemable Nigeria has become. You can understand that only the press statement has rattled Aso Rock and Fulani cabals in the presidential villa Abuja and particularly those on the seat of power in Nigeria. IPOB is strategically moving forward to restore Biafra sovereignty in no distant future.
“Our meeting with UN officials last week were frank and forthright. If there were doubts before in their minds that Nigeria is one almighty calamity, the feeling we got after our discussions is that they now have a proper appreciation and deeper understanding of how irredeemably hopeless the case for one Nigeria has become in light of the reign of impunity, poverty, repression, unbridled corruption and collapse of the legal system.”

Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, yesterday alleged that the Abia State Police Command abducted 21 Shalom Church members and other Christian denominations praying in the Afara-Ukwu residence of its leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
But the Abia State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Anthony Ogbizi denied the allegation, saying his men arrested about eight members of the militant wing of the IPOB who invaded the state in trucks from Rivers State to cause trouble in the State.
He said that three truck loads, with Rivers and Cross River number plates entered Umuahia and went straight to Nnamdi Kanu's house since last week and have been on surveillance of the city. He said the police had intelligence about their coming and plan to flood other parts of the state.
Ogbizi said his men did not go to Kanu's house, that the suspects were arrested while on surveillance around Afara area and could not explain their mission when accosted by mobile policemen manning the nipping point in the area.
He said those arrested were being profiled at the Command's Criminal Investigation Department, CID, to ascertain their mission in the state.
But IPOB in a statement by its media and publicity secretary, Comrade Emma Powerful alleged that "the Nigeria security agents abducted and tortured Jewish worshippers in Nnamdi Kanu's residence who came to pray at the compound on Sunday morning without any provocation.
"This is to alert the whole world that the Jewish worshippers praying in Afaraukwu Ibeku at IPOB leader's residence are currently undergoing severe torture from the Nigeria security agents at Central Police Station Umuahia and Zone 9 Force Headquarters, Ehimiri Estate Ikot Ekpene Road Umuahia.
"Some of the Jewish worshippers have been abducted and taken to unknown places, for easy execution. The Nigeria security agents have declared war on Christians and religious groups once again, as a daring move against the warnings and agreement made in Washington D.C between the US President Donald Trump and the Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari."

IPOB : Real reason why i am contesting for Second term – President Buhari opens up

President Muhammadu Buhari Saturday in Daura, Katsina State, said the driving force for seeking public office should be to serve the people, and see their lives improved, not for frivolity or personal ambition.
Speaking at the All Progressives Party’s (APC) Ward Congress held at Bayagida Model Primary School, President Buhari said the passion to serve and see real changes in the lives of Nigerians informed his choice to join partisan politics in the first place, and inspired him to contest elections in 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2015.
The President said that his decision to seek a second term in office was borne out of a deep passion to serve Nigerians, and not for personal gains.
President Buhari noted that his administration had already started the process of ensuring fairness, justice and equity, in spite of challenges, and would work hard to consolidate on the gains.
“I am not in politics for fun, frivolity or to amass wealth, I have always been driven by a deep sense of commitment to make a difference to the lives of our people.
“After my retirement from the army, or forceful retirement, I sat back and watched as events unfolded on the political turf, and realised the country needed an intervention for fairness, justice and inclusion of Nigerians in the issues that affect their lives,’’ he said. The President called for patience, maturity and orderliness as the 2019 elections’ calendar begins to unfold, urging political parties, candidates and the electorate to put the country first and always remember that victory ultimately belongs to God.
“After going to the court so many times to challenge results of elections in 2003, 2007 and 2011, and going up to the Supreme Court, I concluded that ultimately it is God who determines who will win elections, and in 2015 I got here,’’ he added.
In his remarks, the Katsina State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Masari, said the process of electing the leaders of the party at the ward level was hitch-free, orderly and based on the constitution of the APC.
“What we have here are our leaders that were chosen based on consensus and we are happy that it reflects the will of the people and the APC constitution. We followed the process to also ensure that there is affirmation,’’ he said.
The Chairman of the Organising Committee for the Ward Congress, who is also the Commissioner of Justice and Attorney General, Ahmad Usman El-Marzuq urged the party leaders to remain loyal and live up to expectations.

According to IPOB, there will be no vehicular, human or animal movement in the five states of the South-East zone on the day, which was instituted by the group for the remembrance of fallen Biafran soldiers.
Towards the remembrance, IPOB advised churches, mosques, synagogues and other places of worship to open at midnight on 29 May for special midnight prayers in memory of those killed in the struggle. It added that a special vigil will be held at the homes of select Biafran heroes. The group also called on the people of Southern Kaduna, Middle Belt zone, especially Benue, Adamawa and Kogi states, as well as those affected by Fulani herdsmen terrorism in the South-West to observe a day of prayers and join in the sit-at-home to remember those that lost their lives unlawfully at the hands of Fulani herdsmen and security agencies.
IPOB stated that it was the sacrifice of those killed in the civil war that has made it possible for the current generation of Nigerians to be alive.
“We owe our heroes of the class of 67-70 an incalculable debt of gratitude and shall honour them annually until the end of time. We shall never forget them
“We shall also remember all victims of Fulani herdsmen attacks, Boko Haram violence and those that died at the hands of Nigerian security agencies over the years that nobody remembers.

“We are calling on all the people of Southern Kaduna, Middle Belt especially Benue, Adamawa, Kogi, those affected by herdsmen terrorism in Ondo and other states in Yorubaland to join the great family of IPOB in observing a day of solemn prayer and sit-at-home to remember those that lost their lives unlawfully at the hands of Fulani terrorist herdsmen and security agencies.

“This year's remembrance will be special because it will present a unique moment of shared pains and misery for all the families that lost their loved ones to war, hunger, disease and terrorism,” the group stated.

It called on all families of its members in the Diaspora to rally on the streets of the countries their residence and submit petitions to the nearest United Nation offices and embassies of foreign missions in such countries.

“As our freedom draws near this year, our 30 May sit-at-home and total lock down of Biafraland will be remarkable. The whole world is looking up to IPOB which, through the grace of the most high God, will deliver Biafra and all other oppressed peoples of Northern and Western Nigeria from bondage into freedom,” said IPOB.

Group accuses Justice Nyako of doing Buhari’s bidding

A coalition of professionals in Nigeria and the Diaspora, Igbo Ekunie Initiative, IEI, has described Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court, Abuja as President Muhammadu Buhari’s stooge by her alleged handling of the trial of Nnamdi Kanu and the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.
The group lambasted the judge for demanding the whereabouts of the IPOB leader from Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, and one other who had stood as sureties for Kanu.
They demanded that Justice Binta must end IPOB’S kangaroo trial or withdraw from the case, stressing that the judge’s alleged bizarre and illogical declarations continue to demonstrate that she is working on an agenda and a script dictated by the federal government.
A statement signed by president of the group, Maazi Tochukwu Ezeoke and Lawrence Nwobu, Secretary, and made available to DAILY POST on Friday said, “Our attention was recently drawn to trial proceedings in Mr Nnamdi Kanu’s case wherein, Justice Binta Murtala Nyako declared that Senator Enyinnaya Abbaribe, who had stood as one of the sureties, must produce Mr Kanu or go to jail. We find this declaration illogical, irrational and indeed against the dictates of natural justice.
“We note that Mr Kanu was on bail and was resident in his address until the federal government flouted the law and launched a bloody invasion of his home in full view of a global audience. While dozens of people were brutally killed in Kanu’s residence, Kanu himself has not been seen since the bloody raid. Against this backdrop, and beyond any doubt, the responsibility for first violating the rule of law by invading Kanu’s home and second his consequent disappearance rests on the Nigerian army/federal government.
“We note therefore that Justice Nyako’s bizarre and illogical declarations continue to demonstrate that she is working on an agenda and script dictated by the federal government. This is more so considering her demonstrated bias overall in the handling of the Kanu/IPOB case.
“It’s important to note that several courts had previously granted Mr Kanu and other IPOB activist’s unconditional bail which the lawless federal government refused to obey. Yet when the case came before her court, rather than insist that the rule of law be followed and that the federal government must in the first instance comply with previous court judgements granting Mr Kanu and others unconditional bail, she chose to desecrate her own institution; abdicate her responsibility to dispense justice without fear or favour and become a stooge for the federal government, thereby acting since then on the federal governments persecution script. When eventually she granted Mr Kanu bail under intense public pressure; again acting on the script of the federal government, she imposed impossible conditions that stripped Kanu of his constitutionally guaranteed fundamental rights.
“The rule of law is the anchor of the modern state and basis for the development of all successful societies. It is supposed to provide hope and succour for the common man against the power and tyranny of the mighty and powerful. Before it; all are supposed to be equal. The fundamental of justice is supposed to remain supreme. We, however, note that justice Binta Nyako’s Kangaroo court has repudiated the essence of the rule of law and now uses her court to advance the tyranny of the federal government against ordinary citizens. In line with the federal government’s agenda, her Kangaroo court of injustice has continued to prosecute/persecute IPOB members even when it is established that they broke no law and acted within their constitutionally guaranteed rights to freedom of expression and the right to self-determination.
“We note the hypocrisy and double standards of the federal government and their stooge Justice Binta Nyako in continuing the prosecution/persecution of non-violent IPOB members in the same country that Fulani herdsmen that are daily killing hundreds of people across the country are never arrested and thousands of murderous Boko Haram terrorists are being released without trial. We are persuaded to ask; how do Justice Binta Nyako and her paymasters sleep at night in the face of such egregious injustice that rivals Apartheid South Africa or Adolf Hitler’s 3rd Reich?
“In light of the above; we submit that Justice Binta Murtala Nyako is an agent of the federal government and is acting a script dictated by the federal government. As a consequence, we declare that Justice Binta Nyako is biased, compromised and therefore unfit to dispense justice. That her court is a “Kangaroo court of injustice” which has effectively repudiated the essence of the rule of law and the fundamental dictates of natural justice. We hereby ask Justice Binta Murtala Nyako to redeem herself by quashing all charges against IPOB members and put a stop to the shameful trial/persecution. If she is unable or unwilling to do so, we request that she withdraw forthwith from the trial as her “Kangaroo court of injustice” is unfit and incapable of doing justice to IPOB members.“In closing; we refer to Uthman Dan Fodio who famously warned that “a nation can survive with unbelief but it cannot survive injustice.” Justice Nyako and all those who thrive on injustice/persecution of others must know that by their actions and inactions, they are active players in the injustices that are inevitably leading to the nation’s eventual collapse.”
